Celebrating the Start of Ascent Classical Academy’s Gym & Classroom Expansion

Lone Tree, CO – JHL Constructors, in collaboration with Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) and Anser Advisory is set to break ground on a new 17,000-square-foot design-build gym and classroom addition at Ascent Classical Academy’s Douglas County Campus.

This project represents a major milestone for the school, featuring a full-size CHSAA-regulation gymnasium, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a performance stage. The addition will also include a two-story classroom wing, consisting of two new science classrooms, a standard classroom, and a warming kitchen.

Located in Lone Tree, this expansion will not only create much-needed teaching spaces to support the school’s growing curriculum, but it will also provide a venue for students, staff, and the community to gather for sporting events, performances, and other activities—aligning with the long-term educational vision of Ascent Classical Academy.

“JHL is thrilled to work on this project alongside Ascent Classical Academy, Anser Advisory and our design build partners at HCM,” said Kris Kreymborg, Construction Executive at JHL Constructors. “The vision for this Gym and Classroom addition is a true testament to Ascent’s commitment to the education of their students and the content rich environment in which they learn in.”

Ryan May, Sr. Project Manager at JHL, echoed this sentiment, adding, “This project is going to be a game changer for the Ascent Classical Academy Douglas County Campus! Our team is honored to continue our partnership with Ascent Classical Academy and bring this long-term vision to reality.”
