Colorado SKIES Academy

Colorado SKIES Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school providing students in grades 6-8 a hands-on, project-based curriculum focused on aviation. The school is located next to Wings Over the Rockies Exploration Of Flight at Centennial Airport in Englewood and the two entities collaborate almost daily. The new campus includes a new 22,250 SF pre-engineered metal building with a ‘rocket booster’ metal panel and airplane wing design feature added. Interior spaces include ‘parachute’ ceiling clouds, polished concrete with a stained solar system design in the corridors, learning stairs at each pod location, and ‘study caves’ for students.
